| Bio: | Tai Kamiya is the leader of the first group of digidestined. His most defining feature is most likely his huge, brown hair-style, along with his now iconic goggles, setting the trend for the "goggle boys" of future seasons. He usually wears a blue t-shirt with orange stars on the sleeves, along with a pair of brown shorts and trainers that look incredibly like a pair of Adidas. He also has a sweatband underneath his goggles and wears white gloves. Tai is a naturally confident person, automatically taking the role as leader of the group when they first landed in the digital world. Because of this confident character, he often comes to blows with Matt over group decisions. While very courageous under fire, he does tend to rush into situations without properly thinking them out. After the initial shock of meeting his partner, Agumon, they quickly become great friends, especially after Agumon digivolved to Greymon to save Tai from Shellmon in "The Birth of Greymon." Tai's little sister Kari becomes a digidestined later on in the series. When Kari is suddenly in the same danger as Tai and the others, we see a very different and instinctive side to his character. Because of an incident where Kari nearly died when they were both younger, he now feels that he has to protect Kari from everything. Tai's family comprises of his father, Susumu, his mother, Yuuko and his little sister Kari. |
