About the Game ::.
After Bandai's Digimon World, they took the game in a whole new direction. In this game, you take the role of Akira, a Digimon Tamer. The game starts out easy enough. You defend the Digital Word by battling enemies and training your Digimon. As your journey goes on and things heat up, you'll soon realize it isn't a walk in the park. Your mission: Save and defend the Digital World at all costs.
Features ::.

- Battle in either 1 or 2 player-mode
- Duke it out with a friend in a cool 3-on-3 versus mode
- DNA Digivolution to combine two Digimon for greater power
- Train Digimon from Rookie all the way up to Mega level
- Drive in your Digi-Beetle vehicle to mobilize your Digimon troops
- Rumble in 3-D with amazingly detailed attacks
- Save your game anytime, anywhere
Review ::.
Digimon World 2 is a lot different from DW1's annoying poop-n'-scoop, feed, and nap-time ideas. When start the game, the intro seems to take forever before you can actually enter a username. Once the it's over, the game is really awesome. Battling and catching Digimon is a lot of fun. After about 2 weeks, you may get bored of the game or annoyed with increasingly sluggish Digimon level-ups.
Up Sides ::.
- You can catch any enemy Digimon you see in the game (except bosses)
- All Digimon from Season 1 and Veemon are avialable up to Mega level!
- There are tons of items to use on your Digimon
- The game is very long and a good challenge for big time RPG fans
- Saving the game is easy and can be done from anywhere
- If you loose a battle, you don't have to start over from the last save point
- You can avoid eye-contact with Digimon to steer away from battles
Down Sides ::.
- The DigiBeetle is extremely slow
- All the Dungeons have the same dull look and are confusing and frustrating
- Level limits force a DNA Digivolve, making one offspring with a higher limit
- DNA DigiVolving makes you loose 2 Digimon and you must raise their baby
- Many Digimon are recolors
- When a Digimon does an attack, a Japanese voice narrates
(Ex: Angewomon using "fist of the beast king" gives her a man's voice...)
Rating ::. Over-all, even with the down sides, this game is pretty good, but I don't recommend buying it unless you are a Digimon fan. I suggest using GameShark to get past the level limits, which would make game play more enjoyable
OnlineDigimon gives Digimon World 2 for PS1 a 9/10
