UPDATE 3: Digimon Battle has announced the starter Digimon. They are Gigimon, Gummymon & Viximon. Yamon, DemiVeemon, Dorimon and Hopmon will become available after certain in-game events. Also, to clarify this to everyone, you will not be able to play the game on March 10th, you will only be able to create a character. The open beta starts on March 17th.

UPDATE 2 (from IGN): In Digimon Battle, players select a Tamer character, Takato Matsuki, Henry Wong, Rika Nonaka, or Jeri Katou, and set off with their Digimon and human friends, helping their Digimon to progress in their Digivolution. Players and their Digimon level up by winning battles, and players can progress through several ranks of Tamer to achieve elite status. There are three types of Digimon Partners, and seven types of Captured Digimon for players to find and tame in the world. More information on the Digimon will be revealed soon!

From March 3 to March 16, players who register for the beta, download the client and create their characters will get an exclusive Frontier Starter Kit for being pioneering members of the Digimon Battle community. The Frontier Starter Kit will include valuable tools to help players prepare for the open beta, including 10 Jump Gates to jump to all the maps in the world map, 10 Vigor Floppy Discs to gain 200 VP recovery while in defense mode, and 10 Recovery Floppy Discs to gain 200 HP recovery while in attack mode. The kits will be delivered on March 17.

Finally, Digimon Tamers seems to be getting its own complete fansub, and in a quite good quality. WildBunch is the new group subbing it.

The distribution is done via torrents as usual though we will post direct MU links in our board soon. If you use the torrent method (which I strongly encourage), please seed if you want this fansub to be spread as quickly as possible.

The 5 first episodes are already done and you can grab torrent links right from this blog post. If you don't know how to use torrents, ask at our forums.

It seems we have yet to see another Digimon game. There's not much information about it but you can see its site here:

Apparently, it's called Digimon Story: Lost Evolution, a RPG game and as the page hints, it will be released sometime during 2010 for the Nintendo DS handheld console.

Hopefully we get more interesting Digimon releases in the future beside this.

According to WtW, a new album is set to be released on January 1st, 2010, which will include a set of best soundtracks (commemorating the 10th anniversary of Digimon) from the period 1999-2006, apparently from the start of Adventure to then end of Savers.

The details here say that it will cost 3238yen which is about US$35.
