D-3

The second season digivice was slightly different from the first. Tai released the three new digivices when he touched the Digi-Egg of Courage in the first episode, and TK and Kari's old digivices were transformed when they received their new Digi-Eggs.

Izzy dubbed the new digivice the "D-3," as it had three functions: Digital, Detect and Discover. It is used in conjunction with a Digi-Egg to armour digivolve a digimon, it is used to digivolve the digimon to Champion level and it is also used to DNA digivolve the digimon, used in conjunction with another D-3.

D-Terminal

The D-Terminal was the device that the old and new digidestined used to stay in contact. While the older digidestined inexplicably already had them, the newer digidestined got them when they got their armour digi-eggs.

They were used to send e-mail from D-Terminal to D-Terminal and D-Terminal to Computer. They also contained the newer digidestined's Digi-Eggs. Later in the series, Yolei upgraded them to support voice communication.

Armour Digi-Eggs, originally Digimentals

The Armour Digi-Eggs were the new and "ancient" method of digivolution that the new team's digimon used against the Emperor. Each Digi-Egg represented a crest of the old digidestined, and digivolved the digimon to Armour level. The Digi-Eggs are stored in the D-Terminal (above).
